Ezyline: 2015 in review

December 18, 2015

Now is a great time to reflect on the year that’s been and think about what’s next.

Here are a few of our 2015 highlights.

Move to the new site – Newton St, Mt Maunganui

This has been a great move for us. (If you haven’t been to see us make sure you come on down). The site has given us a lot more space(50% more to be precise), as well as a much higher street profile.

The showhome (our office) has been a real asset too. In fact it’s been so effective we’ve sold it!

We’ll be building another one to replace it in the new year (no sweat with pre-built transportable homes).

The changing economy

The downturn in the dairy sector has had an effect on business. We’ve seen a slowdown in purchases from the farming sector this year. But thankfully this has been countered by an upsurge from property investors and developers.

Our pre-built transportable homes are great for investors. We’ve had customers subdividing existing properties and adding an Ezyline home on in order to extend their rental portfolio. We’ve also had property investors putting Ezyline homes on empty sections and selling them on.

For landlords our homes are ideal. They are affordable to build and building timeframes are short and dependable. Once built, they’re low maintenance, and most importantly, easy to rent with good rental returns. Find out more on why property investors are snapping up Ezyline homes

Dealing with council – forewarned is forearmed

This year we’ve seen an increase in the time it takes for the building consent process. We’re now having to allow twice as much time for the consent process due to hold ups at the city council. Because we’re dealing with it all the time we’ve been able to avoid frustration for our customers by making sure they know what to expect and helping them work through the process.

More on-site builds

Lately we’ve been doing a lot of work on customer’s sites (building on site). It’s not always possible to use a transportable home if the access is tough. But never fear, if a home can’t be transported onto site we can just build it on site! Our yard’s feeling a little empty at the moment with most of our crew out on building sites around the Bay.

More happy customers

Here’s what Karl Buske had to say about his experience with Ezyline.

“Wallace and the crew at Ezyline Homes were great to deal with when I decided to build. Right from the start of the process with giving me the information I needed about the the build and time frames, regular contact throughout the build with progress reports right through till a follow up call a few days after the moving company had placed my new house on my section. I would highly recommend Wallace if you are thinking of building.” Karl Buske.

Onwards and upwards

We have some exciting plans for 2016. Stay tuned.
