You are currently viewing What to consider when building ski accommodation

It took a bit longer to get here this year, but when that white powder fell, there were some cracker days to be had on the mountain.

Now a distant memory.

But, after a day on the slopes racing kids barely-out-of-nappies down the hill, or testing out your new fandangle ski’s on the black runs, there’s nothing better than getting back to your cosy abode, jumping in the shower, cracking a cold quenching beverage and sinking into the couch to relax those aching bones.

When the weather is mint though, every man and his dog is snapping up the best accommodation – what will you do?

Build your own ski accommodation. Really. It’s easier than you might imagine. And the summer is the perfect time to do it.

Ski accommodation necessities.

Yep, no surprises, it gets cold at the snow. Many of the old railway homes based in Ohakune can be cold and draughty. Ezyline homes all come with double glazing and premium insulation to keep the warmth in. Installing a heat pump or wet-back fire place is a nice addition to ensure a toasty home when you get off the mountain.

Spend your weekends enjoying the snow, not being a slave to your property. An easy maintenance chalet means you’ll save time and money. Our homes are built with quality Coloursteel roofing, that can handle a snow dumping.

Soggy wet gear is nobody’s friend – especially the next day. Ezyline can simply adjust the plans to a add a drying room, extra gear cupboards any other special requirements you might require.

Needs change over time. A transportable home means you can relocate it or sell it (and remove it). No need to bulldoze the property or have it sitting on the land waiting for the perfect buyer.

Build your home away from home, ready for next Winter.

If you need a hand finding out more about transportable homes, give me (Wallace) a call at Ezyline on (07) 572 0230. I’d love to help.
