How Ezyline Builds Transportable Homes
If you’re considering buying a transportable home, you’ve probably got questions about how the building process compares with a traditional on-site build. How is the quality checked? What safeguards are in place? And how much red tape is involved in getting it signed off?
At Ezyline, our process has checks and safeguards integrated throughout the build. Backed by qualified tradespeople and LBP credentials, we make council inspections and final certification easy.
How Is an Ezyline Transportable Home Built?
The main difference between an Ezyline transportable home and a traditional build is where it’s constructed. Our homes are built in manufacturing facilities in Mount Maunganui and Feilding, then transported to your site once complete.
Building this way gives us a controlled environment where we can follow documented and consistent processes throughout the build. Over many years of building transportable homes, we’ve refined those systems to create an efficient process with tight quality control across all stages of the build.
That extends to the materials and specifications that go into each home. At Ezyline, we use proven construction techniques and established suppliers, with features including Colorsteel roofing, fibre cement weatherboards, double-glazed joinery and insulation that meets or exceeds current H1 requirements.
Inspecting Your Ezyline Transportable Home
Building your home offsite doesn’t mean you have to miss out on seeing it progress. We welcome clients to visit the Ezyline manufacturing facility while your home is under construction, and we’ll even send you weekly update photos so you can see how the build is progressing.
There’s independent oversight too. Local council inspectors regularly visit the facility to inspect building work during construction, and we take care of the Building Consent for your home through to its final Code Compliance Certificate (CCC).
The CCC is issued by the local council at the completion of the build and certifies that the work complies with the New Zealand Building Code. Your home leaves the manufacturing facility fully finished and consented.
Ezyline and LBP Credentials
The people building your home matter just as much as the process behind it. Ezyline is a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) and we use fully trained tradespeople to build our homes.
Licensed Building Practitioners have been assessed as competent to carry out building work that is essential to the structure and weathertightness of residential buildings. Our experience is backed by a 10-year structural warranty on every new Ezyline home, covering the subfloor, framing, roof structure and load-bearing elements.
From the people building your home to the inspections it goes through before leaving our facility, our focus is always on delivering the quality and consistency you’d expect from a new home.
